ABOUT HUGO LECLERC
Based in Montreal, Hugo Leclerc got his bachelor of music in jazz studies in 2019 at McGill University and he previously got a technic in jazz interpretation at the Cegep Saint-Laurent.
He began private lessons in piano and vocal at only 4 years old and began saxophone at age 12. He will finally learn to play the clarinet and the flute at the Cegep Saint-Laurent.
Today Hugo plays professionally all the saxophones (sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass), clarinet, bass clarinet, flute and he is singing as well. His main instrument is the tenor saxophone.
Hugo plays various style of music in different groups. He is presently part of the band Crossroad Copeland, Stringcut Quartet, Pabst Is An Astronaute and many others. He also have his composition project under his name. Apart from these groups, he is regularly playing jazz cocktail gigs, subbing other musicians, weddings, funerals and various events.
